Using FridgeFinder
Fridge Report = 5 points Awarded when a user submits a fridge status report.
Fridge Filled = 10 points awarded when a status report is made with food in the fridge: "Few Items", "Many Items", or "Full".
Fridge Cleaned = 15 points awarded when a fridge status goes from "needs cleaning" to "good".
Fridge Repaired = 25 points awarded when a fridge status goes from "needs repairs" to "good".
Neighbor: Someone who is in community with the fridges. Uses FridgeFinder to locate nearby fridges or see latest updates
Volunteer: A Neighbor who has submitted a Fridge Report. Volunteers are the heart of FridgeFinder - they help keep the fridge information up to date and accurate for everyone in the community.
Note: you can see your User Type at the top of your profile page.
Following a Fridge: To follow a fridge and start receiving notifications, go to a fridge profile page, click follow, toggle preferences on or off, and save.
Default Notifications: By default users receive notifications if a fridge is marked as unavailable (for example: Not at Location or Permanently Unavailable).
Needs Repairs: Users receive a notification when someone marks a fridge as needing repairs.
Needs Cleaning: Users receive a notification when someone marks a fridge as needing cleaning.
Out of Food: Users receive a notification when someone marks a fridge food level as empty.
New Food Added: Users receive a notification when someone marks a fridge food level as few items, many items, or full.
Food Level 1: Empty
Map pin color indicates the fridge is empty, has no food.
Food Level 2: Few Items
Map pin color indicates only a few food items are available.
Food Level 3: Many Items
Map pin color indicates the fridge has many items available.
Food Level 4: Full
Map pin color indicates the fridge is full.
Needs Cleaning
Latest report says the fridge needs cleaning.
Needs Repairs
Latest report says the fridge is out of order.
Not at Location
The fridge is reported as not currently at that address. This could be temporary (for example: the fridge is being repaired, or organizers are in the process of moving it to a new location)
Ghost fridge
This fridge is permanently unavailable, can toggle it on using our map filters.
